Coins are used for spawning Units during a Battle. In order to obtain Coins, you'll need to kill the enemy Grunt Units that automatically spawn from the opponent's base. The Grunts are indicated by the Coin icon above their head.

Please note, attacking your opponent's summoned Units do not provide Coins.
